ACT proactively engages in the building of political will and activity support for CA at various levels. At community/village level ACT targets decentralized systems, traditional and civic leaderships, local schools, farmer organizations, local service providers and dealers and other local/village institutions to rallying public awareness and support, political will and programme support towards practical interventions for scaling up CA. At regional, continental and global level lobbying and advocacy strategies shall focus on bringing into the decision making processes local validated information and data to allow and stimulate informed decisions in favour of more proactive CA support.
ACT stimulates and facilitates the bringing out of data and information that highlight practical linkages between CA and food security, household/community incomes and ultimately socio-economic prosperity (including bringing into practical and scientifically validated association to phenomenon such as climate change, carbon sequestration, and rainwater productivity. ACT engages international initiatives such as the CAADP and EAP in AU/NEPAD, various agricultural and environmental related UN agendas.
ACT focuses on development of appropriate strategies and mechanisms for effective and efficient adoption and scaling up of conservation agriculture through knowledge and information sharing.
ACT creates awareness of its activities through different avenues among other which includes workshops, study tours, exchange visits, media (press releases and talk shows), field days, agricultural show, Exhibitions and farm demonstrations.
Workshops, field days and agricultural shows/exhibitions are used in creating awareness and strengthening farmers, researchers, extension agents, policy makers and the private sector with Conservation Agriculture knowledge and skills. Awareness creation is meant to convey the knowledge and skills that will contribute to alleviating poverty, changing livelihoods, improved environment and having a positive effect on the national economy.
