The 8th World Congress on Conservation Agriculture (8WCCA) (https://8wcca.org/) will be held during 21-24 June 2021 in Zollikofen/Bern, Switzerland. In preparation to the 8WCCA, FAO and the European Conservation Agriculture Federation (ECAF) are organizing a series of online webinars and regional discussions to increase awareness of the concepts and practices for Conservation Agriculture (CA).
Conservation Agriculture is a farming system that promotes minimum soil disturbance (i.e. no tillage), maintenance of a permanent soil cover, and diversification of plant species. It enhances biodiversity and natural biological processes above and below the ground surface, which contribute to increased water and nutrient use efficiency and to improved and sustained crop production.
