Tanzania Conservation Agriculture Stakeholders’ Workshop: Sharing Lessons And Experiences In Promotion Of Conservation Agriculture

The Tanzania Conservation Agriculture Stakeholders' Workshop: Sharing Lessons and Experiences in Promotion of Conservation Agriculture jointly organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, African Conservation Tillage Network (ACTN), Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB), Diocese of Central Tanganyika (DCT) and Conservation Farming Unit (CFU)-Tanzania will take place 3rd – 5th July 2019 at St Gasper Conference Hall, Kisasa (or Fantas Hall), Dodoma, Tanzania with field visits to DCT Gawaye and Ipala village sites.

The overall objective of the workshop is to bring together CA experts, farmers, policy makers, researchers and other stakeholders from within and outside Tanzania, to share experiences and lessons on the adaptation, adoption and scaling up of CA principles and practices in Tanzania. The interaction will enable ascertaining key interventions - including policy support options, research for development, scaling up pathways/methodologies - to catalyse the scaling up - and adoption of and reap benefits from CA.
