The African Conservation Tillage Network (ACT) is a Pan-African not-for-profit organization that stimulates, facilitates and enhances mutual sharing of information and knowledge on experiences and lessons on promotion of Conservation Agriculture (CA) in Africa. ACT brings together stakeholders and players who are dedicated to improving agricultural productivity through sustainable utilization of natural resources of land and water in Africa’s farming systems.
ACT is implementing a project funded by FICCF (Finance Innovation for Climate Change) through Inuka Africa, under the name “Conservation Agriculture for Quality Fodder Production and Feeding”. The project is being implemented in Mirangine Ward in partnership with New Ngorika Milk Producers Company Limited (NNMPCL) and the Ministry of Agriculture and other stakeholders. The project has 10 CA and fodder demonstration plots in the Ward.
To empower more farmers on the technologies being promoted ACT in collaboration with NNMPCL and Ministry of Agriculture have planned a Farmers’ Field Day to be held on Thursday 30th June, 2016 at Nyaituga Village in Ngorika Sub-Location in Mirangine ward at Mr. Githinji’s demonstration farm located about 500m from Wiyumiririe Shopping centre along the Ngorika – Kanjuiri road.
ACT humbly wishes to invite you to this field day to participate and exhibit. The field day will start at 9.30am to 1.00pm and speeches from 1.30 to 3.30pm. Please confirm your participation and specify if you will exhibit for allocation of space by COB 28th June 2016.
