Conservation Agriculture Farmers’ Field Day

The African Conservation Tillage Network (ACT) is a Pan-African not-for-profit organization that stimulates, facilitates and enhances mutual sharing of information and knowledge on experiences and lessons on promotion of Conservation Agriculture (CA) in Africa. ACT brings together stakeholders and players who are dedicated to improving agricultural productivity through sustainable utilization of natural resources of land and water in Africa’s farming systems.

In Machakos County ACT is implementing a project funded by AGRA (Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa) under the title “Conservation Agriculture for Food Security and Profitability” (CA4FS). The project is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and KALRO. The project has 112 CA demonstration plots in Machakos County (Yatta, Mwala and Machakos Sub counties).

To empower more farmers on the CA technology ACT in collaboration with KALRO and Ministry of Agriculture have planned a Farmers’ Field Day to be held on Wednesday 10th June, 2015 in Musaalani village, Vyulia Location at Mrs Regina Muthoki Ngile’s (Kwa Ngile) demonstration farm.

ACT humbly wishes to invite you to attend and participate at this field day. The field day will start at 9.30am and speeches at 1.30pm to 3.30PM

Kindly confirm your participation to enable the planning team to provide some display space for your products/services. You will be expected to carry your own tent and table if need be.
