Frank Place is a senior research Fellow at IFPRI under the Policies, Institutions and markets division. Prior to this he worked at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) responsible for designing and undertaking research on the impacts of the World Agroforestry Centre’s research and of agroforestry systems. He was also engaged in other research related to incentives for adoption of agroforestry and sustainable land management, particularly the influence of property rights and government policies.

Dr. Place was a consultant at the World Bank having participated in a multi-country land tenure study.
He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Wisconsin.
