Dr. Pablo Adrian Tittonell is a Professor of Farming Systems Ecology at Wageningen University, The Netherlands. He worked for the private and academic sectors, and in both national and international research organisations. He is passionate on his vision by focusing his attention on the social-economic consequences felt by farmers who transition towards agroecology, and on the interaction between man and nature in rural landscapes as determinants of ecosystem services. Prior to this, Dr. Tittonell was researcher and team leader at CIRAD (Centre de cooperation International en Recherche Agronomique pour le Developpement) in Montpellier, a prestigious French research institute for the tropics. The main focus of his research at CIRAD was on conservation agriculture by smallholders in Africa, Brazil and Vietnam.

Pablo holds a PhD with honours specialising in production ecology having studied in Wageningen and Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has also attained the French title HDR (Habilitation a Diriger des Recherches).
