Mr. Shula is the Chairperson of the African Conservation Tillage Network (ACT) management Board, and Country Representative for the World Association of Soil and Water Conservation (WASWC).
Mr Shula is currently a Senior Technical Officer (Land Husbandry) at the Ministry of Agriculture in Zambia. He has served in the Ministry in several capacities as National Coordinator, Land Management & Conservation Farming and Deputy National Team Leader of the Agriculture Support Programme.
He has over 25 years’ experience in natural resources management, integrated land use planning; soil and water conservation and agronomy, including 16 years’ experience in short term consultancy, training of field staff in integrated land/natural resources management approaches and technologies, conservation farming, land and water management technologies and integration of participatory concepts and approaches in agricultural land utilisation. He also has 10 years’ experience of managing integrated and sustainable agricultural and land resources management related projects. Mr. Shula also has extensive international exposure in matters related to sustainable land/natural resources utilization and management.
He holds a MSc, Natural Resources Management (Land Resource Major), Cranfield University at Silsoe, Bedford, United Kingdom.
