Conservation Agriculture Training

The course was organized by African Conservation Tillage Network (ACT) in collaboration with Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Arusha Tanzania, from : 15th -19th October 2012.

The course objectives were:

I. To enhance understanding of the principles of Conservation Agriculture (CA) as the new way to farm.

II. To provide practical knowledge and skills in the application of CA practices for different socioeconomic and agro-ecological environments to enable them to respond competently to farmers’ need.

III. To provide the participants with approaches and methodologies for enhanced documentation and wide scale adoption of profitable CA.

IV. To strengthen the competency of the participants to facilitate learning of CA to CA support staff.

The course was attended by 30 participants from three districts of Tanzania namely Chamwino, Kondoa and Kongwa.
