Meet the team of Social reporters at the 1st Congress on Conservation Agriculture, Lusaka- Zambia
The First African Congress for Conservation Agriculture (1st ACCA) that took place from 18th to 31st March 2014 in Lusaka Zambia brought together key Conservation Agriculture stakeholders, including farmers and their organisations, from the continent to interact and co-own a permanent Conservation Agriculture knowledge and information sharing platform that takes into account the needs of farmers, increased networking, partnerships and information sharing. One of the key activities at the congress was the use on social media to inform audiences that participated remotely. Tools like Facebook, twitter, blogs and YouTube were all used to disseminate information in real time.
Following a public call to apply prior to the congress, meet the team of social reporters at the first Africa Congress on Conservation Agriculture who reported during the congress. The Hashtag was #1ACCA

1. Wendy Lu McGill (USA)

A communications for development fanatic with more than a decade of experience promoting safe migration, anti-corruption, development co-operation and other important human development causes, Wendy Lu feels that working in agriculture is a return to her roots as the great-granddaughter of family farmers. 2. Kofi Adu Domfeh (Ghana)

Kofi Adu Domfeh is a Broadcast and Online Journalist currently working with Multimedia Group Limited with eight years working experience and currently in charge of the Business Desk and digital content management at Luv 99.5 Fm in Kumasi and a reporter for Joy 99.7 Fm in Accra. Kofi is also the Ghana correspondent for UK-based WRENmedia (managers of Agfax Radio and New Agriculturist Online Magazine), reporting on agriculture and rural development in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa. Also a correspondent for other international organizations such as CTA's Rural Radio Resource, the Spore, e-Biz Africa and Africanews.com. His interests revolve around reporting on finance, business, economics, agriculture, health, environment, science and private sector development (SMEs).
