The Africa Tillage Network (ACT) is organizing the First Africa Congress on Conservation Agriculture (IACCA) http://www.africacacongress.org/ in Lusaka, Zambia from 18-21 March 2014. The congress will bring together key Conservation Agriculture stakeholders, including farmers and their organizations, from within the continent and out to interact and co-own a permanent Conservation Agriculture knowledge and information sharing platform, that takes into account the needs of farmers. Participants will be expected to share experiences and lessons learnt to enable information sharing and encourage the practice and uptake of conservation Agriculture among farmers especially the small holder farmers in Africa.
How will the Remote Social reporting work?
This activity forms part of ACT’s Knowledge Management objectives of increasing awareness and Knowledge on CA through Technology. ACT will not be able to cover the logistical support of travel, accommodation for all social reporters but might be able to take one or two who will coordinate the activities onsite. Modalities of remote social reporting will be discussed with successful applicants.

1. A certificate will be emailed to you at the end of the conference depending on how active you were and after an assessment of your contribution towards the Knowledge and awareness creation objective.

Selection Criteria:
ü Actively involved in an Agriculture initiative
ü Proven basic skills on the use of New and social media
ü Competent in the use of either English or French. Both is an added advantage
ü Commit to participating actively before, during and after the congress
ü Have access to internet
ü Available to remotely follow and social report in real time
ü There is no restriction on Age and Country
