The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator works within a multi-stakeholder conservation agriculture program in East Africa funded by Global Affairs Canada. He/she will serve as an M&E resource to the eleven implementing partners and is responsible for the coordination of overall monitoring and evaluation activities for the program. The M&E Coordinator will assist in developing the M&E capacity of participating partners, and will strive to ensure a consistent approach to M&E throughout the program. Additionally, the Coordinator will compile and analyze data across the program and assist in the preparation of reports for funders and other stakeholders.
The “Scaling-Up Conservation Agriculture in East Africa” is a 5-year (April 2015—March 2020) program collaboration of 4 organizations, World Renew, World Relief Canada, Mennonite Central Committee, and the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, and is being implemented within communities by eleven local partners of these organizations working in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. The M&E Coordinator will be hired by the Mennonite Central Committee to work throughout the program. The Coordinator is responsible to the CA Program Manager (based in the Canadian offices of Canadian Foodgrains Bank), and will take day-to-day supervision from the CA Program Coordinator (based in Nairobi).
This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Frequent regional travel, including rural travel with limited amenities, and occasional international travel are required.
